Africa is moving in a right directions when it cocerns receiving new technologies. It seems the continent can welcome any technology easier than other continents.

Some great references of good mobile development projects, thanks, and your perception that it is what people make out of the technology is good to hear! I have just started a blog at www.designedforafrica.org, which focuses on appropriate development of technology. I have written a post which I was spurred to write after reading this article a few months ago. Please take a look, it's titled 'What is appropriate development?'

And have you seen the outcome from the connect africa summit? What you referred to about whether the web will enhance communication further seems to be the path they have identified as the next step. I have reviewed the summit outcome on my blog too, if you are interested.
