It opens the doors for association and creative thinking. The result maybe very different what the initiator intented but that does not matter, because it promotes ones own reflection. I especially learnt that on Nancy's graphic facilitation workshop. However I have not found the best way to use it and wish I had drawing or a graphic for every topic I am writing about.
