Really enjoyed this post. When I do the web 2.0 presentation that you referenced above, I am always -- always! -- asked issues relating to culture. That part of the organizational change dynamic may or may not be the hardest but it seems to be the one that looms largest in the minds of those thinking about introducing the ways of communications that come with these tools.

And I'm happy to see that your blog has a creative commons license. I think this is a post being to be remixed into a presentation.

Thanks Beth, I already linked to the enterprise2.0 presentation, which I like too.

Hi Nathan, I totally agree with you. Emails are taken more and more working time and are often not efficient at all. Whereas a rss feed to my chosen project blogs or wiki topics would give me the chance to pull my information desired.

"they can even reduce the information overload"...

Indeed they can, IMHO, in two ways: by moving FYI type emails from a push model to a pull (subscription) model, so you only get the ones you ask for; and because an RSS reader would seem to lack the psychological oppression of an email Inbox. This last is my conjecture, and follows from the fact that no one really expects you to "clean out" all feeds in your reader, whereas that expectation does usually hold for messages in an Inbox.
