Hi! I'm the founder of PBwiki. I'd love to hear some more specific thoughts about how we can improve the usability of PBwiki's interface.

I enjoy your blog a lot. It contains pertinent thoughts and valuable links. You may want to check www.nabuur.com, as we are groping with many of the issues that you raise in your blog.
(Nabuur is a next generation charity working to connect globally minded citizens from all over the world into meaningful direct relationships with community leaders in villages in the developing world. The Nabuur.com website is an online community that helps attract and engage volunteers, locates villages with credible projects that need help the volunteers can provide, and facilitates connections and collaborations so that real solutions and positive direct change can happen.

The lack of being ‚dead simple’ is indeed a critical point... At the same time, I made the experience that as soon as some people in your organization get used to social software, newcomers will have less trouble because they might think the social software you are using is 'a long existing tool' nobody needs to question. I guess, in essence, it’s a mental issue.

Good observations, I fully agree. Still looking for a wiki easy enough so I would dare to present it to a project board in our organization.
The tool which was easiest to present so far was del.icio.us as people immediately see the added-value of saving their bookmarks online. But still, only some make it to the point where they use it as natural part of their work (which always takes about 2 months until you really get the hang of it).
