My name is Christian Kreutz and I am a political scientist and knowledge activist. I work as a consultant for knowledge management and information and communication technologies for development (ICT4D). The places I have worked for include the German Parliament and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ- German Technical Cooperation). At GTZ I worked for five years as project manager and communication specialist. Since 2000 I work on various projects around the Internet. My interests are knowledge sharing, activism and networks for social change.

Publication: “Protest networks — a new dimension of transnational civil society” (2003-Author)
The book analyzes the growing networking of civil society over borders and how they form loose coalitions through the internet. It focuses on different movements around such as anti-globalization protests, and highlights many other influential formal and informal networks of civil society and collective action. (Amazon)
Über das Buch: Protestnetzwerke – eine neue Dimension transnationaler Zivilgesellschaft?
Seattle, Genua und Porto Alegre stehen für eine neue Form transnationalen zivilgesellschaftlichen Engagements. Aktivisten kritisieren die Folgen der Globalisierung, protestieren gegen die Politik internationaler Institutionen und schließen sich zu transnationalen Protestnetzwerken zusammen. Sie tragen unterrepräsentierte Themen in die Öffentlichkeit und demonstrieren grenzüberschreitend Solidarität. Geschickt nutzen diese Netzwerke das Medium Internet, um ihre Proteste zu koordinieren.
